Graduation Day!

Just realized that it has been a while since I have updated the blog. We are chugging along here at the White House. Ali is over 7 months old already - so hard to believe! At the end of September she graduated from the Survival for New Moms class we have been attending at the hospital since she was 6 weeks old. It was a wonderful experience and I met so many amazing moms and babies through the class.

Ali is such a big girl these days -
Sitting
She can sit by herself pretty well (although she isn't ready to sit on the wood floors yet since she still falls over quite a bit).
Moving
Ali doesn't crawl or scoot yet but will roll over and over and over and move pretty far pretty quickly. It is funny to watch and she gets so mad when she gets rolled up against furniture or the wall and can't move anymore!
Eating and Drinking

She has some solids everyday and LOVES them! She eats a pretty large amount too - she eat primarily homemade baby food so I am not sure about the amount all days but I would guess she eats a whole baby food jar worth most days. She loves bananas and sweet potatoes but there hasn't been anything she has refused (she was not crazy about avocado or chicken but I think that was more texture related than taste). She also love drinking water from a cup - she enjoys playing with her sippy cup or drinking from a real cup with help. She loves watching us fill our glasses with water from the refrigerator and she gets really excited!

Everything in the Mouth!
She is definitely at that stage - anything she can get her hands on she wants to put in her mouth and she grabs at EVERYTHING! Papers, straws, food . . . anything we are holding she wants. The other day she got a hold of Jesse's popsicle and she grabbed the straw out of my drink just yesterday.

I posted tons of new pictures on the shutterfly site (rockymountainwhitehouse.shutterfly.com) and here a couple other cute ones.

Ali and "cousin" Rowan (actually Jesse's cousin but she is 1 month younger than Ali)
Safety First!

Jesse and I were cutting wood for some shelves we are building for Ali's room and put the safety glasses on her (she didn't actually need them though - Ali and I left the garage everytime Jesse used the saw).
